Nelly Toporau-Cuzma

Nelly is a Senior Technician with a broad analytical chemistry background. She earned an MChem with Industrial Experience from The University of Manchester, spending a placement year working on method development in pesticide residue analysis. After graduating, she relocated to Bristol to work as a Research Technician, where she studied lipids preserved in archaeological pottery using stable isotope analysis and radiocarbon techniques with the aim to investigate pottery use and past diets. She has hands‑on experience with liquid and gas chromatography, NMR, and archaeological chemistry, and now specialises in polymer analysis with a focus on thermal analysis techniques.
